Sixteen ways to leave a trace

Space

Room

Quick-attacking, pitch-preserving reflections create a short, believable room with compact stereo width

Chamber

A smooth-building medium space brings warm body, a stable center, and a polished decay

Hall

A slow-opening, wide concert space blooms into a long, even decay

Cathedral

The slowest bloom, a dark tilt, and monumental sustain create a huge, dramatic space

Plate

Immediate, gently saturated sheen creates a bright, dense tail with wide decorrelation and no obvious room shape

Spring

Resonant hardware twang bounces through a lively, focused stereo image

Atmosphere

Ambience

A near-instant, short field adds almost invisible glue and depth while keeping the source close

Undertow

Reverse swells form downward-pitched layers that drift gently into depth

Drift

A pitch-preserving late-tail sweep moves independently across the left and right channels while keeping the reverb clear

Haze

Softened attacks bloom in slow motion into a smooth, suspended cloud

Phantom

A frequency-split halo, airy breath, and wandering image create a ghostly sense of motion

Eclipse

Band-aware, linked-stereo clearing opens around active notes before the reverb blooms back between them

Wake

Filtered, rounded returns shift position as faded traces of the earlier tail reappear like ripples

Ink

Recursive layers progressively darken and soften while retaining a cohesive stereo width

Frost

Bright +1, +3, and +5-semitone shards form a wide crystalline shimmer, with +7 available in HQ

Aurora

Multi-band colors travel independently across the left and right channels to form the widest stereo veil

Shape decay across the spectrum

Sub, Low, Mid, High, and Air each decide how long their part of the spectrum remains. Keep a long hall out of the bass, darken a vocal tail, or let only the air band float without reaching for a static EQ after the reverb.

Controls that follow the ear.

Every character shares the same musical control language. Change the space, then shape the spectrum and motion without relearning the instrument.

  1. Space and depth

Place any source in a close, intimate ambience or an expansive environment, with precise control over scale, distance, clarity, and the length of the tail.

  2. Texture and motion

Shape reflections from crisp and open to dense and fluid, then define how the tail moves, spreads across the stereo field, and settles around the source.

  3. Reverb personality

Keep the sound clean and natural or bring forward the signature bloom, pulse, drift, and shimmer of CYAN’s expressive characters.

  4. High fidelity by design

CYAN combines 64-bit recursive processing with sixteen-line HQ networks, smoothed parameter changes, dual read-head crossfades, and local 4× oversampling in Plate and Spring for smooth, dense tails without abrupt artifacts.

86Factory collection

Start from a sound, not a blank page.

The patch display opens a searchable library of eighty-six factory starting points, plus your own presets. Filter by category, favorite factory sounds, step through the library, and keep user presets in a folder you control.

Save and load portable .cyanpreset snapshots of the full parameter state.
